YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Becoming a foster parent is not an easy job!  JOURNEYS' foster parents are actively involved in ALL aspects of a child's life.  Involvement includes:  communicating and assisting caseworkers and staff with treatment plans, biological family visitations, court appearances, school meetings, counseling sessions and medical appointments.

Each child is encouraged to participate in "typical" age-appropriate social and community activities, sports, after-school events, family gatherings and more.  Sadly, many children who live in abusive or neglectful homes - never experience what it is like to just 'be a kid'.

BECOME A FOSTER FAMILY

All children in foster care each have unique and special needs.  Foster children primarily need to have a  person or a family who will actually listen to them, help them with interpersonal problems and look out for their best interests.  These are important, but simple tasks that have never neen given or offered to many foster children as they grew up and had to take care of themselves and sometimes siblings.  For an application, or to discuss details regarding the foster-care and application process, please contact or office at 719-543-8965 and/or: admin@journeyscps.org.
